| I might be a total moron, but I'm having trouble finding the place (if there is one) where you can change the skin of the forum? | |

| There isn't one, and there won't be one. I like this flavour.
I also like to pick on old men, so the age STAYS.

| I'll change it to something lighter. I've included a wide selection of skins on Rage, including a pink one. I doubt I'll be here very often in the next few, because I'm working on the other forum, so I'll fix the skin to suit you.
Emmy, please load your smilies up into a zip file, and let me know when you're ready to send it. One of the million things I have to do before we open.

| ok, Imma try to explain what happens every time I add an option to the forum (this will include smilies.)
1. I find the html script that makes your browser "see" something - such as a reputation button for instance.
2. I download it to my computer (this is almost always a .zip file) These files have anywhere from 5 to 15 subfiles inside them.
3. If someone else wrote the files, then I use the mod upload function of the forum, and then activate the mod from my CP. If I modified a script, then I search through the skin's html sheets (roughly 8 pages long) and find the place that I want the item to appear, and manually add the script to the skin.
4. either way: I have to go through and manually add the script to each individual skin's html pages. The upload section of my CP only works for the default forum skin.
THIS is why when you guys start threads like "could we have a *insert color* skin?"... you either never got a reply, or it was a long time coming. It's not as simple as point-choose-click. The loading of the skin is gravy, but then, alll of the mods must then be applied to the new skin, or you won't have the functions that you're used to. This applies to nearly everything. "Can't we have a drop down menu at the bottom so we can change skinz easier?" etc.
SO, I am doing my level best to apply the modifications before I pass the URL out, so that there will be minimal requests. If there ARE requests, I ask that you allow ample time for the upgrades to be made. It actually makes more sense to wait until there are several requests, then do a board maintainance day.
The reason for this post, is that I have a list about 15 deep, of mods that I still have to add. I've set an August 9th goal for the launch, and therefore I really don't have the time at the moment to add singular smilies. This is something I can do later, after the forum is running, and folks are generally happy with it. If you want the smilies from the get go, then I need you to put them all in a smilie folder on your PC, ZIP IT, and then PM me for a transfer. This way, I can upload it directly to the forum's smilie directory (which is as simple as point-choose-click).

| my smilies are all in a folder, I will add any people add to this thread.
I've renamed them too. So they don't have stupid names.
